A Wonderful Blanket Of Patchwork



A showpiece of applique skills, this little wall quilt is ideal for using some of those precious pieces of hand-dyed or marbleized fabrics you have collected.



Block Patterns
12 Baltimore Album appliqued blocks 




Fabric Requirements
1 yd, for background and sashing
1/2 yd, for swag border
Small pieces of hand-dyed, marbleized, or solid colors for applique.

Construction Note:
Add 1/2 inch seam allowances to all measurements and templates.
Cut the following sashing and border pieces:
     Cut 8 pieces 4cm x 1cm
     Cut 2 pieces 21cm x 1cm
     Cut 2 pieces 20cm x 2cm
     Cut 5 pieces 14cm x 1cm
     Cut 2 pieces 21cm x 2cm
     Join 3 blocks with 4cm x 1cm strips into a row (4 times)
     Join rows with 14cm x 1cm strips (adding strips to top and bottom as well)
     Add 21cm x 1cm strips to sides.
     Finally, add 21x2 strips to top and bottom.
